From Our Club President

Dear Families, Players, Friends,

Welcome to Northvale Softball Club for the 2017/18 season we are pleased that you have chosen us, and we hope you enjoy becoming part of the Northvale Softball Club Family. This will be another exciting year ahead as we continue to grow our club and its reputation as one of the most supportive and encouraging sports clubs at Waverley Softball Association. Our aim is to ensure that while you are learning and developing your skills that you are also gaining a level of skill set that exceeds your expectations all while making many new lifelong friends.

This Welcome Kit has been designed to provide players and parents with some basic information about the club and set the expectation of what it means to be part of our club and part of the Waverley Softball Association in general.

NSC has been around for over 35 years and we have seen our club go from one of the largest clubs in the competition to the smallest but we are on the rise again. We are currently in the process of rebuilding our juniors and over the past four years we have held juniors in the Under 11 comp and have joined forces with Eastern Raiders Softball Club to ensure that our kids have had a spot to play. We have a number of life members (men and women) some of the women have been playing since they were little kids and have played over 600 games with NSC, this is a massive achievement and just shows the level of commitment and strength that our players achieve.

Our club currently enters one senior team into the B grade competition at the Casey Softball Association, two senior teams (Open 3 & 4) and one Under 11 team into the Waverley Softball Association as well as having some of our U13 & U15 girls playing with other clubs.

We have seen a huge growth within the club in the past four years by doubling our membership base both in juniors and seniors and we are heading for another successful year ahead.

Our club is administered by some committed and talented volunteers and it is important that this group is continually expanded upon year to year to keep the club moving forward and progressive. There are many opportunities at the club for volunteers to become involved and make a difference, so please do not hesitate to contact your team manager/coach or one of our committee members if you would like to help out and join a great team. Without volunteers the club cannot run and our kids can’t play so if you are required on game day or otherwise please get involved.

I would like to sincerely thank all Committee members, parents, players, sponsors and supporters of our great club, as we aim to continue to build upon the solid foundations of those who have come before us to ensure that our traditions and values remain strong.  There is a great team spirit and family atmosphere built at the club and we look forward to continuing this throughout the 2017/2018 season and beyond.

GO VALES!

Yours truly,

 Sharon Scallion
